    Nothing is exciting in these times as the field of Computer Science. Being close to India’s Silicon Valley, young bright students are eager to pursue their graduation courses in this field. Ever since its inception in 1997, the department has been a pioneering academic center for under graduation and post-graduation in the areas of Computer Science Engineering. It has assiduously pursued its mission of carrying out leading edge facilities in both foundational and Industry oriented problems. The Department has well qualified & dedicated faculty members.

    The department is well equipped with state of art infrastructure with latest computers, Laboratory Equipment’s, 1 Gbps leased line connection & Wi-Fi Internet connectivity. Student clubs like Code club, Developer Student club, Open Source Community and Student chapters including ACM student chapter, IEEE student chapter, promote holistic development of the students.

    Department has industry collaboration with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Github, UIpath etc., Research collaboration with STKOM University Indonesia, Providence University Taiwan, North Dakota State University, etc., also associated with premier institute like IITs and NITs.

    The academic programs of the Department are highly innovative and keenly sought after. The Department has trained more than a thousand engineers who have distinguished themselves as leading academicians, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs in several universities and industries in India and abroad.

    PSO1.Apply algorithmic principles and computer science theory to perform complexity analysis in the modeling and design of computer, computer networks and computer-based systems using appropriate tools and techniques.
    PSO2. Design efficient data models & databases for challenging applications.
    PSO3. Demonstrate proficiency in design, development and testing software applications to comply with system specifications.

    Engineering Graduates will be able to:

    1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
    2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
    3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
    4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
    5. Modern tool usage: Create, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
    6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
    7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional Engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
    8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
    9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
    10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
    11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in Multi-disciplinary environments.

    WINGWireless Inter Networking Group(WING) at VVCE, Mysuru is a community where people work for the uplift of research in the area of networking. WING mainly focuses on Computer Networks, Network Security, Protocol Design and Implementation, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing.

    Network Simulator Workshop conducted on 23rd and  24th December 2022.

    FDP on “Advances in Data Intelligence and Cyber Security”
    Department of ISE (Information Science and Engineering) and CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) in association with WING (wireless internetwork group) had organized a 5 day national level FDP on “Advances in Data Intelligence and Cyber Security”.
