The Department of Civil Engineering

Is for students...

who opts to inculcate skills and to master in the field of infrastructural development. Students should possess basic mathematical and analytical skills to get exposure in emerging technology and to develop software tools for planning and designing of construction project.

To Become...

  • Engineers in Public and Private sector units
  • Entrepreneurs / Developers and Consultants in Civil Engineering domains – Residential and commercial buildings, transportation system and water supply network

The Department of Civil Engineering was incepted in the year 2013 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students, Dr. S K Prasad is heading the department with experienced and dedicated faculty members having different specializations in Civil Engineering.

Four faculty members in the department are having doctoral degree, six faculty members are working for Ph.D and six others are in the process of registering for Ph.D.

The department is committed towards achieving excellence in technical education so as to produce competent and confident engineers.

The faculty members take personal care, counsel the students and motivate them at regular intervals. Further, the parents/guardians are informed about their attendance and progress of their ward. Tutorial classes & remedial classes are conducted to encourage the slow learners. Personality development and English communication classes are also conducted.

Vision

The Department of Civil Engineering will develop socially responsible civil engineers through quality education keeping pace with emerging technologies.

Mission
