Dr.T.P.Surekha took her BE from Mangalore University, M.Tech and Ph.D degrees from VTU, Belgaum respectively. She worked at NIE, Mysore as lecturer for one year. Later she joined SJCE, Mysore and worked at the institute for seven and a half years. She joined VVCE family as a faculty in October 2000 and after achieving doctorate she became Professor in 2014
 
She was responsible for the establishment of the Communication and Advanced Communication laboratory in the department.                                 
 
She has got Life Memberships of ISTE, Fellow of IETE and Fellow of Institute of Engineers.
 
Her research interests are in the areas of Modeling & Simulation of Communication systems, Power line communication systems, Power system communication studies and Bio-medical signal processing.
She is teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students and handles subjects like Basic Electronics, Analog Electronics circuits, Linear Integrated circuits, Analog communication Antenna & propagation, Wireless communication, Mobile communication, satellite communication, Bio-Medical signal processing ,Medical imaging and Advanced medical imaging.
For her credentials she has got 15 years of teaching experience at VVCE and total of 23 years of teaching experience. She published 17research papers. Her 7 papers are published in international journals, two papers published in IEEE explorer, two papers published in springer proceedings as lecture notes in computer science. She also presented 6 international conference papers of which one is IEEE conference at Seattle, USA with monitory support from the VVCE management.
Many under graduate projects have been guided in the area of Wire communication, Wireless communication, Embedded systems & Signal processing; presently B.E & M.Tech projects have been guiding.
